Honey and Clover, the best shoujo anime depicting youth related problems. First season's ending was especially moving. There were many insert songs by Spitz and Suga Shikao which were just amazing, creating unforgettable scenes. Faithful to the original manga, yet have it still has it's unique touch. I just cannot recommend this series enough.
First season DVDs
Video quality seems very nice, as expected from region 2. Only gripe is that I would have liked a box that holds at least 3 dvds like other serieses. It's kind of inconvinient when there's box for each DVDs.
And the second season DVDs
Packaging wise, second season looked better than the first season. I really liked the outer cases which looked more classy. Thanks to the popularity of the first seaosn, second season's quality was very consistant comapred to the first season where I saw some quality drop time to time. On top of that, each episode had a different insert song! Quality wise, I have no complaints. One thing I wasn't satisfied was how the love relationship ended. If they have tied up those love triangles a bit better, I would have given the second season 100/100. By the way, remember Kamiya Hiroshi, who got into an accident before the recording of episode 12? We got Nojima Kenji instead for the TV airing, but for the DVD, Kamiya Hiroshi redid the recording for Takemoto, so there's no gap between episode 11 and 12 anymore. ^^
