Another episodic episode. I already said enough about short episode counts and not sure what the director is thinking countless of times so I won't mention it again.
I enjoyed the story of this episode more than the last one. Mostly because it was more unique in terms of story development (at least to me). On the other hand, for some reason, animation style changed slightly and I wasn't too fond of it. It doesn't look as clean as last few episodes. Color theme wasn't as nice looking either.
This story involves a mad scientist under delusion by frequent memory lost, somehow working as a fashion designer for bodies. His intention has NOTHING To do with fashion, but people think he is a genius and wants to thank him. He couldn't see anything but revenge and invention, but there was a girl who seemed to be interested in him. Unfortunately, he never notices her. She becomes his pet, Quilt, stay by his sides. In the end though, the scientist Pacchi, dies after getting hit by the thieves who tried to steal stuff from his place (I still don't get why they had to beat up Pacchi -_-;;;) Quilt, now in a female body, is the only one by his dead body.
Not as dark as the past few episodes, but definitely has a cynical twist to the story. I actually felt that Pacchi's death to be a good thing. I mean, his life is miserable. He wakes up every time, under delusion that he is getting his revenge when in reality, it is exactly the opposite. He is living that miserable repetitive life for hundreds of years, not even realizing the truth. Quilt on the other hand, lived his life with her loved one but I wonder if she was satisfied with that. At least now, she can move on with her own life.
Very few things that helps the overall story development.
1) Warp, the name that Popo gave to Kaiba, turns out to be the ruler of this world. I have this feeling that he is Kaiba himself...
2) Kaiba seems to care a lot more about Vanilla this time around. I do feel bad for Vanilla time to time, but because of what he has done in episode 2, I just can't seem to pity him most of the times. He kinda deserves it ^^;;;
*p.s: If Kaiba = Warp = ruler of this world, does that make Neiro the lover of the ruler of this world? 0_0;;; Now, I'm really interested in what the plan of Popo and Neiro is.
