Well, it seems like animation quality is as good as they advertised, as long as the first episode goes. Along with FMA and K-ON!, this series probably has the highest animation quality this season. I'm not too fond of 3D cars, but it's tolerable. Music used in the series was pretty good. Pretty stylish, but because the overall tone is very light, I had hard time taking the main characters' situation seriously, and I thought they could have used heavier music time to time. OP/ED were very good.
I felt that overall pacing was a little slow. I mean... story development itself is moving fast, but pacing felt slow... if that makes any sense to you(possibly due to slow conversation?) Since this is a rather short series (though we have a movie afterwards), and because of rather tight situation both characters fall into in the first episode, I thought a bit faster pacing might have suited better. Though I guess combined with the relaxed and light BGM, we get a rather interesting atmosphere to it. More so because of the character designs.
In the first episode, English is often used. I guess this series did a better job on Engrish pronunciation than the most. But I doubt any police officer would check your "Johnny" to confirm your identity from a blurry picture. I can't deny that it was a hilarious scene though. ^^ So far, we don't get much information other than what I've read in the official homepage summary+ PV. I thought it was pretty interesting how the main character get used to the environment so fast despite the fact that he lost his memories.
As far as the first episode goes, this was an interesting series. It wasn't as exciting as I hoped for, but definitely an impressive episode.
