Hmm... see, now here's the problem with Kaiba. Overall story wasn't bad at all. Plot twist and characters relationships were interesting and the fact that you can't trust what you see because memory can be modified, provided some unexpected turns of events. However, it was just paced badly. In one episode, one person goes insane, 6 important characters die in about 2 minutes, and missing memory comes back out of nowhere. Now, I felt a similar kind of feeling when I was watching Masaaki Yuasa's another show Kemonozume. As story progresses towards the last episodes, things just move too fast.

It is just hard to get convinced how Popo was in love with Cheky all along. It just never looked like it. No foreshadowing, no hinting and Popo's emotion towards Cheky was never dealt with and it should have. You cannot call something like this a plot twist. It's just too abrupt. Popo, who already tried to kill Kaiba several times and realized he can't be hurt leaves without confirming his death? Popo who was sneaky enough to edit his friend Neiro's memory never knew Cheky's memory was edited? On top of that, dropping a memory of his mom he kept so dearly for all these years on the elevator? -_-;;; I mean, come on... And what's with all this "let's all become one" crap? Evangelion? I'm sorry, but it's just badly planned. When a character dies in an anime, you should feel some kind of overwhelming emotion. There's 6 somewhat important characters died in this episode and I don't feel anything.

I commented many times before that the pacing of the beginning of the series was too slow. Dealing with Vanilla or the grandma who had NOTHING to do with overall story (unless they re-appear next episode somehow) was just a waste of time. It's just so disappointing because overall story had so much more potential. If this was given at least 26 episodes, it could have been so much better.

Final episode will air next episode and I just hope they somehow wrap things up properly.

*p.s1: What's with the "ya-hoooo" at the very end? It just ruins the mood completely.

음... 카이바의 문제점은 이겁니다. 전반적인 스토리는 절대 나쁘지 않습니다. 뒤통수 치는 것도 그렇고 인물관계도 잘 짜여있었고, 기억의 조작이 가능하기 때문에 누구도 믿을 수 없다는 전재하에 여러가지 예상치 못한 전개를 보여줄 수 있었습니다. 하.지.만. 페이스가 너무 나쁩니다. 이번화에서 한명은 미쳐버리고, 중요한 인물 6명이 2분정도만에 다 죽고 거기다가 잃어버린 기억이 갑자기 돌아옵니다. 비슷한 감정이 마사아키 유아사 감독의 다른 작품 케모노즈메를 볼때도 들었습니다만, 스토리가 마지막을 향하면서 너무 탬포가 빠릅니다.

포포가 체키를 사랑했다... 하지만 그런 모습은 지금까지 한번도 나오지 않았습니다. 힌트도 뭣도 없었고 포포의 체키에 대한 감정은 다뤄진 적이 없었죠. 이건 다뤘어야 했습니다. 이런건 극적인 스토리 전개도 뒤통수도 아닙니다. 단순히 갑작스러울 뿐. 카이바를 몇번이나 죽이려한 포포가, 카이바가 죽은 것을 확인하지도 않고 자리를 뜬다? 어렸을때 부터 친구였던 네이로의 기억까지 조작할 정도로 치밀했던 포포가 체키의 메모리가 조작된지도 몰랐다? 거기다가 지금까지 소중히 가지고있던 어머니의 기억을 에레베이터 타다가 떨어트려? -_-;;; 아놔... 그리고 "다 같이 하나가 되는거야" 는 뭡니까? 지금 에반게리온 합니까? 솔직히 너무 짜임이 나쁩니다. 보통 애니에서 캐릭터가 죽으면 감정이 복받쳐오는게 정상입니다만, 여기서는 중요인물이 6명이나 죽어도 아무것도 느껴지지가 않습니다.

전에 몇번이나 탬포가 너무 느리다고 언급했었죠. 전체적으로 스토리에는 전혀 관계 없었던(마지막화에서 다시 나오지 않는한) 바닐라나 할머니의 이야기를 넣는것은 솔직히 시간낭비였다고 생각. 스토리 자체는 정말 가능성이 무한했다고 생각하기 때문에 너무 아쉽습니다. 26화 정도의 시간이 있었다면 훨씬 괜찮은 작품이 돼었을 지도 모르겠네요.

이제 드디어 다음화가 마지막입니다만, 어쨌든 제대로 마무리는 지어줬으면 좋겠군요.

*덧1: 도대체 마지막의 "야호~~~"는 뭡니까... 분위기 다 망치네요...
*덧2: 정말 최대한 비판은 마지막화까지 참고 있을려고 했습니다만, 이번화는 좀 심했더군요.

So, we get to know what exactly happened between Neiro and Kaiba. While almost everything seems to connect, I'm still not sure how they are going to use the plant "kaiba".

In any case, I'm pretty sure Kaiba isn't dead. He already said that he can't be wounded from external force. Unless he was blown up or poisoned from inside, which I don't think is the case here.

There are only two episodes left so I guess they are going to wrap things up now and conclude the story. I'm guessing it'll be a happy end for Neiro and Kaiba (I really do hope that is the case.) and bad end for Popo.

Overall, this episode was decent and moving a bit faster than previous episodes which I liked about. Animation quality seemed pretty good but didn't really have an impacting scene like episode 7.

I have quite a bit of things to say about this series, but I'll save up the comments for now for the final episodes and stop here.

*p.s: I commented on episode 4, that I don't see any of the scenes I've seen from PV and complained sarcastically that maybe they took it from ep10. 0_0;;; and it actually turned out that the PV was made out of scenes from ep10. Talk about coincidence.

드디어 네이로와 카이바 사이에 무슨일이 일어났었던 것인지 알게 돼는군요. 거의 모든게 연결됐는데 식물 "카이바"를 어떻게 이용할 건지는 아직 모르겠습니다.

어쨌든, 제 생각에 카이바는 아직 죽지 않았을 것 같네요. 외상으로는 죽지 않는다고 자신이 말을 하기도 했었는데 이제와서 대포 좀 맞았다고 죽지는 않겠죠.

이제 겨우 2화가 남았으니 스토리도 이제 정리하고 결론을 내줄 것 같습니다. 역시 카이바와 네이로는 해피앤드 (정말 그러길 바랍니다.), 포포는 배드 앤드로 끝날 것 같네요.

전체적으로 괜찮았던 에피소드였습니다. 이전 에피소드들보다 비교적 빠른 진행이였기에 마음에 들더군요. 애니메이션 퀄리티도 좋은 편이였습니다만 7화처럼 임팩트있는 장면은 없더군요.

사실 이 시리즈에 대해서는 할 말이 많습니다만, 마지막 에피소드에서 잡설을 늘어놓기로 하고 일단 여기서 멈추기로 하죠.

*덧: 4화에서 PV에서 본 장면들이 아직도 보이지 않는다면서 비꼬는 식으로 10화에서 가지고 왔냐고 언급한 적이 있는데... 0_0;;; 진짜로 다 10화에서 가지고 온 장면이군요. 참... 뭐랄까...

So, part of my guess worked turned out to be correct after all. Popo is the one modified Neiro's memory to make Neiro think that he is the lover when it was actually Kaiba. In this episode, Popo finally reveals his true self, as a villain. A child who was born in a poor neighborhood, vows to take over the world eh? ;;; He even modify his childhood friends' memories. I found myself getting disgusted by his actions.

We see that Kaiba's insight is getting sharper this time around. He remembers that Popo shot in ep1 was very close to hitting himself, and suspects him.

Anyways, for the whole episode, I felt bad for Neiro mostly since she ended up almost killing her lover. Popo actually left her instead of trying to bring her back. This is obviously a mistake on his hand, since after she gets her memory back, she can turn her gun towards Popo's side. Funny how a person who panic can't think logically.

Next episoe, we will probably see the unmodified memory that Hyo-hyo had with it. Finally, the revelation of the truth eh? ^^

추측해왔던 것의 상당부분이 맞아 떨어지는군요. 네이로의 기억을 고친 것은 포포이고 원래 네이로의 연인은 워프였다... 이번 에피소드에서 드디어 포포가 악역으로서의 역활을 확실히 해내는 군요. 가난하게 자란 아이가 커서 세계를 지배한다는 꿈을 가진다 인가...? ;;; 자신의 소꿉친구들의 기억까지 고쳐가면서... 이런 인간을 살려두면 안돼겠죠.

이번화에서 카이바의 통찰력도 늘었는데요, 1화에서 포포가 거의 자신을 맞출 뻔 했던것을 기억하면서 그를 의심하더군요.

어쨌든 에피소드 내내 네이로가 불쌍했다는... 자신의 연인을 자신의 손으로 죽일뻔 했으니. 포포는 의외로 네이로를 내비두고 가버리던데, 이건 판단미스겠죠. 그녀에게 무기를 남긴채 튀다니.  나중에 기억이 돌아오면 자신에게 총을 겨눌 수도 있다는 생각은 안해봤나? 당황해서 판단력을 잃었다고 봐야돼겠죠?

어쨌든 다음화는 효효가 가지고 있는 네이로의 기억을 보게 될 것 같군요. 드디어 진실은 밝혀지는 것인가? ^^

WOW. I'm glad I sticked with this series. Finally, things started to make more sense this time around. However, I'm still having problem with "Warp". It seems like Warp, is more like a technology that makes one to become immortal, or closer to super-power that can control memory. Apparently, the one controlling the world right now, is a "fake". So who was the real Warp? Was it Kaiba? Now, I still remember Kaiba going through Neiro's memory in episode 7. That time, though it was covered with Popo's mask, it was Kaiba, or Warp (well, it seems like they are all clones, so it is hard to know who that was) who was with Neiro. This is confusing. Popo can't be Warp (or Warp's clone), unless his memory was edited. Neiro seems like she is going out with Popo now. And Popo's original hair is blue instead of blonde. So what was the relationship between Neiro and Warp (or Kaiba)...?

Anyways, I was able to enjoy this episode a lot more than usual, as random hints finally started to connect. I hope this pacing continues till the end.

*p.s: That scientist managed to assemble both body and the memory of Kaiba. And he says he will return that flying thing into its real body. I wonder who that is supposed to be;;;

정말 지금까지 참고 보기를 잘 했군요. 드디어 조금씩 정리가 되기 시작하는군요. 하지만 아직 "워프" 에 대해서는 잘 모르겠네요. 워프라는게 불사신이 되는 테크놀러지, 거기다가 기억을 조정할 수 있는 능력을 가지는 것인 것 같은데... 지금 세계를 지배하고 있는게 가짜 워프이면 진짜 워프는 누구였던건지? 카이바? 그리고 7화에서 분명 카이바가 네이로의 기억을 봤을때 네이로와 같이 있었던 것은 포포의 가면으로 덮여있긴 했지만 카이바나 워프(다들 클론인 듯 하니 도대체 누구인지는...)였었죠. 이게 좀 애매한게, 포포의 기억이 조작되지 않았다면 포포는 워프일 수가 없죠. 하지만 네이로는 지금 포포와 사귀고 있고... 그리고 포포의 머리카락은 파랑이기도 하죠. 그러면 도대체 네이로와 워프(혹은 카이바)는 어떤 관계인가...

어쨌든 랜덤하게 뿌려놓았던 힌트들이 드디어 이어지기 시작하면서 평소보다 훨씬 흥미롭게 진행되는군요. 이대로 계속 끝까지 몰아갔으면 좋겠습니다.

*p.s: 마지막에 과학자가 카이바의 몸과 기억을 합치고 그 날아다니는 녀석한테 원래의 몸으로 옮겨준다고 하는데... 도대체 누구일지 궁금하네요;;;
