Not only the raw was uploaded disgustingly slow, but I was a little busy lately, hence a slow update.
The series so far is great but some factors are consistently bugging me. The one that affects me the most during this episode was Stein's sluggish way of talking and narration of the situation. Now, I don't know if you have watched Hajime no Ippo (The Fighting Spirit, was the English title), but THAT one done a great job on narrating without screwing up the pacing. While Soul Eater no doubt has a high quality animation and amazing looking action, I have to say, this sluggish narration can really bother me time to time. I just want to press "skip 5 seconds ahead" button when he starts to talk T__T I do admit though, that this might be due to the fact that I already read the manga, so I know what is going on already. Another thing that bugs me is Soul and Maka's cheesy ass dialogues, but this is to be expected from any Shonen anime.
Other than that, this episode was great. Full of action and comedy. I especially liked that part where Soul and Black Star's "break up" part and Death the Kid's special move. They played the BGM I loved so much from prologue 3 (episode 3) again when Death the Kid got serious. I am so looking forward the OST album of this series!
This episode, they mention that Thompson Siblings is brought up on the street. I got a little confused on this one. Does that mean they are brought up as "guns" or "humans"? The picture they show looks like they used to live on slum area as "humans", but that is just confusing since they are supposed to be "made" weapons. Now that I think about it, how the heck are these weapons made in the first place? If they were made out side of Shibusen, that means there are weapon makers out side of Shibusen, and Thompson Siblings' background seems like an indication of that.
